Should Dickey, Vaughan and Mathews' fantasim cards be deleted from the player pool in future leagues (present leagues not impacted)?

I would be in favor of replacing those card years with the advanced version strat cards for the same year (with appropriate repricing) when possible.

This is a game. Reproducing reality isn't usually going to happen.

I don't see how using these cards is any different than using the Negro League cards (created with spotty data), fielding profiles of the deadball era, or any of the years that were unable to differentiate left vs. right breakdowns.

What is so bad about these cards that they shouldn't be included and all of these others should (provided they are priced appropriately)?

The reason that these cards are different is because the stats that these 3 players have dont resemble cards from other similar statistical seasons- They just aren't consistent with the rest of the set.
We do have to accept some inaccuracies, as nothing is perfect, but the fanta-sim cards weren't meant to reproduce stats in the same way that most of our other cards were-
the results with these cards generally bears this out.
Id love to see the same players, with the cards from the regular set put in place of the fanta sim ones.

PS- this is nothing against the fanta-sim game- just doesnt fit here.

PPS- this is nothing like the NeL seasons, as the cards actually do reasonably match the stats that they are using to make the cards.

It would also be interesting to hear from BernieH how many of the other cards in this set are Fantasim versions. I suspect that there are very [b:5565ac5852][i:5565ac5852]many[/i:5565ac5852][/b:5565ac5852] that the ATG group does not complain about because they were not informed that these were Fantasim versions. (just saying :roll: )
