Injury Question

Bill Swift piching to RHassey (LH DH). Bill swift is injured on a single. runner on first goes to third.
I check Bill Swift's card.
1985-#HR-that cant be a single
1986-@gb(1b)C-that can't be a single unless the pitcher is fatigued. but, its only the third inning and swift has only given up one hit in the first, one walk in the second and a single already in the third.
1988-1989= possible single* or lineout depending on roll. But the runner advanced two bases, not one.
1990-fly(rf)B-that cant be a single.

Well, I know it is probably 88 or 89, but technically those are only one *-not **. I am not up on the probability of a runner advancig fror an extra base or hit and runs or other things that can muck up an injury read can anyone help figure this out. The runner was Tony Fernandez by the way so that might increase the chance he tok an extra base, but I thiought a Single needed a position after the "SI" to allow the runner the ability to take an extra base.

Or the 'other' option.....This injury was an error. It has been reported on the boards on several occasions, that an injury has happened that was impossible based on the players involved and the dice rolls. TSN/Bernie has never fully addressed this, to my knowledge.

Sometimes SOM's advanced rules kick in and overide a SI* and allow a runner to advance two bases.

Another possibility is if Hassey has a season with a "W" rating against right-hand pitching, you may have Bill Swift's 1985 card. (I never had an 80s team, so I can't check.)

Hassey is N against right handed pitchers, whatever that means.

How can a runner advance two bases, if thesre isnt a position listed on the roll for the runner to roll against? How do you know whose arm to check?

The other possibility I cited was if RHassey is rated "W" in any of his five seasons. (You said he was "N"; if this is true all five seasons, then the second possibility can't apply.) If he was rated a "W," then that would turn a Ballpark HR (#HR) into a single**.
