When do you hit eject?

Personally, if I decided to go with Walker I would have used his 1999 card. Injury prone but a better return and almost 2 mil cheaper......especially in an 80 mil league where every dollar counts.

Some good points made so far, and modmark made a very good reply.

IMO you need at least 2 more LHB to start when you'r at home. IMO you should have 6-8 LHB starting when in a park like that. When using that park or one similar you also want to get a RHB that is good v. all pitching so as to not limit you too much in your righty lefty make up. I like to use a RH DH when using an extreme LH HR park.

As far as player suggestions, Brian Giles will do well in that park, hits RHP really really well. Johnny Callison does well to, and has a 0 inj card that hits LHP well, always a nice combo to have in a park like that. Goslin is another guy worth looking at, not much for D but can hit in a park like that esp. in a lower cap.

IMO the 20.6mil you have invested in Cobb & Walker might be better spent on 3 LH power bats, some as mentioned above and also a 7mil Ott, which is also 0 inj (Pinson, cheap Billy Williams as well), remember those 0 inj cards can add flexibility in not needing as many subs.

Playing in a park like that don't expect to see real impressive BA even from you're best guys though, you'll most likely win by slugging your way through.

then i would take all that extra cash + m.vaughn's card and get one of these three players: t.kluz or w.parker or h.trosky for 1st base.

I would agree with the above comments regarding Hawkins, you don't seem to have enough RH bats in your league's lineups to make much good use of Hawkins. You'd want somebody more even balanced if not a 2L, and cheaper if you can.

Also if you drop Hawkins it leaves you with roughly 2.5 mil, you can upgrade a bat with that money.

ETA: also consider this, you have over 10% of your money in your #1 pitcher (which is fine b/c he should do well) but at that cap you can do well with a 7-mil #1 and the money you save can upgrade one of your other SPs. For EG: Jesse Tannehill is a nice LHP option and a good value at 6.5mil. He would work well in your league b/c it looks like you have a lot of LH bats and a few LH HR parks. Consider the 7.88 Feller to replace Hubbell. You can do well with a staff of 5-6 mil SPs in 80 mil cap.

I do not agree with dropping Cobb - he is golden. My most recent team in a lefty park won 100 with Cobb scoring 168 runs at the top of the order. There were some crushers behind him but somebody has to be on base when those lefties hit their home runs. Cobb does it well. In fact, he also works well down further in the order if others ahead of him can get on.

Yeah, with Petro and Nev stacking LHPs against you, I would definitely want some LH hitters that slug well vs LHP. Kluz. is great for that. Someone above suggested Callison. Other, not so expensive options include Oglivie, K. Gibson, & D. Parker. And, despite being in a lefty leaning park, consider picking up a RH hitter that really bashes LHP. There are lots of options there. Got to keep all those lefty pitchers honest!

Also consider a DH platoon, names like O'doul, Covington & Horton are inexpensive and effective.
