When do you hit eject?

Postby Treyomo » Sun Apr 15, 2012 10:17 pm

I almost never hit eject this early. Let me give an example: in a 2011 league, I signed CF Jacoby Ellsbury for $11.4M. In the first 42 games, he was batting .230 with a .750 OPS. After 102 games, he is now batting .290 with an OPS in the .930 range. Gotta be patient, or you end up gutting your team and getting little in return.

[quote:c51af563ea="waldenhd"]I do not agree with dropping Cobb - he is golden. My most recent team in a lefty park won 100 with Cobb scoring 168 runs at the top of the order. There were some crushers behind him but somebody has to be on base when those lefties hit their home runs. Cobb does it well. In fact, he also works well down further in the order if others ahead of him can get on.[/quote:c51af563ea]

I should have also added: and someone else in your league/division will pick him up and use him against you!
