game 156, Josh Gibson gets hurt for 15 games. Acquired him via trade in 200mil about a 1/3 of way through season. Has been great and not missed 1 game.

I've clinched my division, so I'm in, but now without a big piece AND I can't even grab another C to platoon with....talk about a bunch of crap.

Part of the game. Yes it sucks, but with injury risk players that can give BIG Rewards(Gibson) comes the chance of the 15 Gamer. Been there and it does blow.

Why is that a bunch of crap? You knew the injury risk. I agree it is bad timing, but it happens in real life too.

Seriously, I'm just bummed b/c I was looking forward to the possible collision course with nevdully, and with Gibson I liked my chances. Now it looks like nevdully's mystique will just continue to grow. Now I wish Brian Giles could play catcher.

ha--well it was overdue since he didn't miss a game since the 1/3 point. You were on borrowed time already. should have sat him down...so that Hal could have used him as a pinch hitter and THEN got injured :P

Chemosh won our recent armchair, with Gibbie rehabbing all post season. I think he was out late every nite at the clubs with da hot women, and his foot in a cast. But somehow Dennys boys prevailed 4 games to 2 over Doc X.
