I am fairly new to keeper leagues, and this was my first (other than the interesting but very different AL keeper league).

Please indulge me a little exuberance. I was thrilled to see Jarrod Parker get his first MLB win this past week, with a very good outing.

He was my first prospect pick for my team. When I picked him, I knew he was recovering from Tommy John surgery. Man, it's fun to see him looking good starting for the A's!!!

I have since joined another keeper league, the New 24TKL. These keeper leagues have given me a whole new interest in baseball!!!

Don't forget that in a 24 team league there's often a good amount of suckitude across the league. I can personally vouch for several of those teams in past years.

I guess all of the FA picks haven't been added to the league yet. The only one not added to my team is Greene.

I don't think it's a big deal yet but just in case something later comes up (I.E.-someone thinks he's available through the supplemental draft or whatever because he's not listed on any rosters)

I haven't done that last FA round and the prospects yet. I feel behind. Work without those people who got laid off last week is killing me.

Rant,
I know there will be some suckitude, and I will be leading the sucky charge this season since I decided to try taking the long view and rebuild my team completely with hope of being competitive 3-4 years from now. Fortunately I don't have an irate fan base that won't show up to my games when I lose 115 this year.

But like others have said, I'm really enjoying the new perspective on the game this league has given me. I'm really enjoying following minor league prospects and players whom I otherwise wouldn't have taken notice.

Especially since I'm a redsox fan, I need some distractions right now!
