Setup for Super Reliever

Setup for Super Reliever

Postby sschu » Thu May 10, 2012 11:24 am

I have Babe Adams and wanted to try the super reliever approach. I hope to get 220+ IP from him, any hints on the RP setup?

Appreciate the help!

I have the super reliever listed for every situation even mop up. Obviously he can't be specialist versus both righty and lefty hitters so i pick him as specialist versus depending on whether he throws lefty or righty. Mop up may seem like a waste to some but team has chance to come back when an Adams type comes in game. I get alot of innings and decisions out of Dale Murray. Have had a few nice surprises from less considered relievers used as super reliever.

And I would also quick hook any SP's who may be less than steller and slow hook the super reliever and quick hook the lesser ones.

relief pirtchers

in 80m leagues without spending too much George Suggs and Wilcey Moore have done well for me. In 100m Sutter,Murray,Wilhelm and Milgus are all solid. I usually use the closer, set up man and middle reliever setting. No specialist but fill out the reliever requierments with a LH mop up and a RH mop up and a decent relief pitcher [Selma,Shaw or Sanders] as a tied and 9th + setting. Maximize the relief settings, slow hook for my super reliever, quick hooks for all other pitchers unless I have some solid starters
