[quote:e3c0694492="nexrad"]I know it's still very early, but so far the Rangers are [b:e3c0694492]leading the AL in runs scored[/b:e3c0694492] [i:e3c0694492]and[/i:e3c0694492] [b:e3c0694492]in runs allowed[/b:e3c0694492].
Did any of the great Yankee teams (or anybody else for that matter) ever accomplish such a feat over a full season?[/quote:e3c0694492]
It's not even June yet, so keep your pants on, nexrad.
If you haven't heard, it gets mighty hawt round Dallas, and their teams have historically had a hard time with the grind of the season, come June, Joo-lie, and whatever that month after is... If I didn't know better, I'd accuse you of readin' too much ESPN.
As to any of the great Yankee teams doing this...
1936-1939. Yankees
Yeah.
Talk smack when you do it once, much less four years in a row.
1927 Yankees did it as well. Moore, Hoyt, Shocker went 1-2-3 in ERA in the AL.
1906 Cubs
I'm sure there are others.
