Results and new CMs are due this Friday, January 27. Series still to be played (4):

June 6: ROS@RUB
June 12: TYC@HKM
June 15: ROS@HKM
As we near the halfway point of the season, 8 teams are in the playoff hunt. Only the two newbies to Netplay, HK Mossy and MidTennHitman, are really struggling and experiencing the growing pains we all went through as first-timers.
6 players are still in sight of the magical .400 mark including Ted Williams who did hit .406 in the 1941 season. Beach's Ed Delahanty leads the way with a .407 average. He is closely followed by HK Mossy's Rogers Hornsby (.399), Dave Hall's Joe Jackson (.394) and 1941 star Cecil Travis (.389), TyCobb's Ted Williams (.378) and Marge's Joe Dimaggio (.370).
Dave Hall's 1941 batting star Cecil Travis leads the league in hits with 109 through 72 games. Eldaveer's Tris Speaker has 101 hits followed by Dave Hall's Joe Jackson with 97 hits, MidTennHitman's Tyrus J. Cobb with 96 hits and HK Mossy's Rogers Hornsby with 95 hits.
Beach's Babe Ruth has 22 HRs to lead the league just barely over Ty Cobb's Ernie Banks who has 21 HRs. HK Mossy's Mickey Mantle and Toisan's Mike Schmidt are right there as well with 20 HRs.
Beach's Pete Alexander has 11 wins to lead all pitchers thus far. It's very tight as Eldaveer's 1941 pitching star Al Benton, Dave Hall's 1941 ace Rip Sewell and Major Deegan's top hurler Three Finger Brown all have 10 wins . TF Brown is also the clear leader in ERA as his puny 2.12 ERA leads MTH's Bobo Newsome's 2.59 ERA comfortably (Rube's Joe Heving has a 1.93 ERA but doesn't yet qualify with just 28 IP to date). Major Deegan and MTH are also 1-2 in K's with Sandy Koufax whiffing 120 batters to date and Bob Feller in second place with 104 strikeouts.
Five pitchers have two shutouts and four are from 1941: Rube's ace Johnny Vander Meer, Dave Hall's pitchers Lou Warneke and Rip Sewell and Eldaveer star Ernie White. Tied with them is MTH's HOF Christy Mathewson.
Several pitchers are having an outstanding first half including Eldaveer's Al Benton (10-0) and Tommy Bridges (6-1), Marge's Harry Gumbert (6-1) and Toisan's Walter Johnson (8-2).
Only Marge's Al Simmons has been flawless in the field. Especially nice when you can add in a .332 average, 11 HRs and 47 RBIs in 66 games.
Teamwise, Rube leads the league with 94 HRs and already has six players with 10 or more HRs!
Lots more action to come in the second half, especially with 8 of the 10 teams alive for a playoff spot. Enjoy.
