NLD 30 - Smell the glove!

Postby joethejet » Tue May 15, 2012 3:23 pm

More Dale Murray pictures please..... ;)

Not sure what to make of my team. We're up, we're down. We win 5 of 6, we lose 5 of 6. Win 2, lose 2. We blow saves (23 v 29 saves) but we come back to win some of them.

Gonzalez my 5+ mil pitcher has a nearly 5 ERA. Casilla my best RP has 8 losses and almost as many BS as S. Actually, the pen has been shooting gas out of their hoses rather than water all season.

Timmy has been money, but a bit shaky lately.

Some hitters are up, some down. Mostly hitting is about right I think. fielding? Another story. on pace for 114 E's. I don't think we should be this bad on D. And, every E leads to a run as evidenced by the league leading 58 unearned runs (followed closely by Semper with 57)

And, finally, we're in first place still due to an incredibly underperforming division. Go figure.

One of the weirdest NLD teams I've had.

A back-breaker last night with three 1-run losses for an already struggling team. Unlike last season the early successes were indeed a lot of luck I think, so while there's been bad luck the 2nd half this squad's record is probably where it should be.

I don't see any way to catch AT or hold onto the WC spot.

I know the horse is dead but almost half my total losses are by one run. Depressing.. not as depressing as leading the league in run differ. And staring in at the playoffs tho right big? :P

I'll join the litany. 30 saves, 25 BS. OUCH.

It's the reason why we aren't any better. Hard for me to believe that both Casilla and Ram-Ram should be around a 4.00 ERA with 1.4+ whips, but there it is. Their whips were 1.12 and 1.16 last year. Just killing us.

If they come around to anywhere near what they did last year, we'll be fine.

Smoke, that's pretty brutal in one runners. there have been a LOT this time around for most teams. Only AT has a fluky record with +10 in one runs. Stoney too I guess +7. Believe it or not, Keyz is worse off than you.

Everyone is within six of a playoff spot so who knows what's going to shake out.

I'm still confident that we can find our way into the playoffs somehow. Gonna need a bit of luck though. 8-)

Ouch. Our pen, as chronicled hasn't been what I'd hoped but then, Casilla looks great in two games that we win by one run, but in game three, he comes on and gets injured for 5!

And, we lose by one in 10. Bummer.

Hopefully we can get some good IP from Timmy, Gio and Carpenter!

Injury Report

Your Current Injuries
Carroll, Jamey, 6 more games
Jones, Adam, 4 more games
Holliday, Matt, 2 more games
Doumit, Ryan, 3 more games

Recently off the Injured List
• Kennedy, Adam, healthy for game 117
• Freeman, Freddie, healthy for game 116

While the team has 2+ injury players in Holliday, Napoli, and Doumit, Jamey Carroll will miss 30 games so far, Mike Morse took a 15 gamer et al.

We went from league leading in runs to struggling and finally the pitching showed up.

Can anyone find some oil for my mitts?

keyz, not sure what you mean. Are you saying you're 3-15 over your lat 18 one runners??

Semper, been there before. I remember one season we had Polanco who had a 1 injury and we lost him for 30 of the first 32 games. It stinks when it happens.
