Finally got the go-ahead to announce that the transition will be happening THIS WEEKEND, beginning with a shutdown of the current site TOMORROW, FRIDAY JUNE 8 at 4pm ET.
[b:8908013b76]Tonight's games will be the last played here at SportingNews.com.[/b:8908013b76]
Time will be frozen in your leagues so that games scheduled for tomorrow (Friday) night [b:8908013b76]will be postponed until Tuesday, June 12[/b:8908013b76]. NOTE that we were originally going to resume games on a Monday, but we'd like to give you more time to go to the new site on Monday, find your teams, and get ready by Tuesday night.
Any waivers deadlines that were scheduled for Friday 5pm ET or later will be pushed back to Tuesday, June 12 as well.
Opening Days that were scheduled for this Monday, June 11 will be pushed back one day to Tuesday, June 12. IF there are leagues that are uncomfortable having their first games played the same night as the waivers deadline, they can send in a request and I should be able to push back their Opening Day to Wednesday on an individual basis. Yes, we can do things like that now; it's glorious.
More details to come...
