Who are the youngest and oldest online strat players?

I'll be 59 in September. I still think and act a lot younger than I am, but my body feels more like a 90 yr old. I can no longer imagine living in damp weather back East(Bridgeport, CT.) although I still don't enjoy the super high temps in Phoenix in the summer.

I am pretty much held together with tape and crazy glue, but my mind still remembers how athletic I was up until my early 40's when I tore my ACL for the 1st time. Most of my friends suffered knee injuries in their teens and 20's. I was fortunate enough to play basketball until age 44 with teenagers.

Glad I can still play mentally with this fun game and great community. :D :wink:

Me and my wife met Rob in Phoenix about 4 or 5 years ago. He looked like a 30 year old. I really didn't know he was 55 at the time!! Rob was working three jobs and had interests in many creative ventures. For those who don't know Rob, he is a hard-working man who has had more bad luck than the Cubbies of the 20th century. I'm hoping both Rob and the Cubs both hit it big in the near future.
If any of you get to Phoenix, look Rob up and give him a call. My wife still asks me how Rob is doing. He leaves quite the impression. :wink:

Started playing strat with the 1985 cards, but not in 85. I was probably 7-8 at the time.

I'm 66 (will hit 67 in Sept).

"Spider 67" comes from Univ. of Richmond, Class of '67. Played H.S. football against Charlie Manuel and Jerry May's dad was my H.S. Civics teacher.

I was originally class of '67 at Univ of Mich -- but you've got 8 months on me, Spider. So far, you are the senior citizen of this class!

51 years old. Started playing Strat with the 1970 season cards - the year before they introduced the lefty/righty split cards. I saw an ad in a comic book. I sent in the coupon to get the brochure, and then ordered 6 teams - Montreal, Philadelphia (my brother's favorite team), Baltimore, Cincinatti, Pittsburgh, and Minnesota.

This was all at the age of 10. I played the game with my younger brother, who was 7 at the time! My Dad played a few games with us, but my brother and I played all the time for years, playing quite literally thousands of games.

I discovered online strat just about 4 years ago. :)

Geoff, those poor 70s Phillies must have been consistently crushed by the Orioles, Reds, Pirates, and Twins that year. Your poor brother got to realize early on how sad his 1970 Phillies were firsthand. :wink:
