“Maybe, who knows, I don’t know, I don’t care, whatever.”

I feel like Hank Hill.

And that should scare the Strat people more than the anger. Once the passion is gone, what's left.

Why is that? Can't the leagues in the middle of a season just start when they are ready?

The last games were on a Friday Night. For continuity purposes, a Friday night start makes sense. Usually the last night of the regular season is on a Friday night and the playoffs start on Monday night. It's probably not something that is set in stone, but a Friday night makes more sense.
I also think that Bernie can have everything fixed by Friday. Fingers crossed!

The danger for me with all this downtime is that I realize how much brain space SOM is taking up. I could be much more productive in my other endeavors if SOM would just stay down for a while longer.

Seriously, though, stuff happens. Sure it would have been great if they could have worked out the bugs -- shadow site or close down for longer and test, test, test -- or done this changeover during the dead period when there are few leagues starting up, but that didn't happen. It may not be best for customer satisfaction, but I just don't understand why people are getting so worked up over a delay.

There is a [b:4181f4acbb]new thread for updates[/b:4181f4acbb] pertaining to the current situation, so if you're a denizen of these old forums, you may keep an eye on it, if that's easier for you than following [b:4181f4acbb]the main wiki page[/b:4181f4acbb].

I'm closing down this old thread because its main post has a ton of old info on it and I don't want to confuse anybody. Feel free to continue to post on the new thread whatever you were posting here.

Hey Bernie, I don't see any forums on the stratomatic site. Are you referring to us continuing to post about it on that site? I'm confused.
