Strat-O-Matic.com transition updates

Every team I checked from last night had at least two games where there was a serious issue relating to improper use of relief pitchers. Three times I saw where an SP pitched all the way down to F0 and continued to pitch, among other irregularities.

Okay, maybe I'm wrong

but my understanding is that a critical rule in SOM is that relief pitchers can't pitch in three straight games. My experience has been that this rule was in effect prior to the transition.

Last night the second round of the Barnstormers began -- in the league where I was prematurely thrown out of waivers by a negative cash balance that didn't exist.

Both Newhauser and Wilhelm (my player) managed to appear in all three games of the series.

So it's not just fatigue that apparently needs fixing.

Why would anyone be paying new money to beta test this product?

I can say with certainty that while it's not typically seen, there definitely had been times under the old SOM that a reliever would be used in 3 straight games. The only reason I'm so sure is because I was of the same belief that the game would not allow it, so made a point of noting it when it did occur (probably first noticed a couple years ago)...so I can't attest to exacltyhow RARE it is, but it has happened under the old platform too.

A 3rd straight appearance is allowed (BP v.2) if the previous the appearances were limited somewhat in pitches or innings pitched.

and worse= can anyone explain how Mcdowell goes from F9 to F3 here?

He lets up an error and suddenly gets fatigued?

McDowell was probably hung over and so distressed by the error that he lost it.

Thanks for the correction Michael.

fatigue issues here too...an S7 going to F0 in inning 6 for 2 walks...and others. definitely impacted the games.
