HAL and Alf may have morphed into HALF, a chain-smoked computerized teddy bear that alters dice rolls depending on how far he is into his daily allotment of the case of Hamm's.

Current priorities

Postby bernieh » Fri Jun 29, 2012 11:44 am

All updates pertaining to the Strat-O-Matic.com transition will be posted at the following wiki page, as usual.

http://somonline.wikia.com/wiki/Welcome_to_Strat-O-Matic_Online%27s_New_Home_at_Strat-O-Matic.com!

There's a new section at the top for "Current Priorities" that you can keep an eye on.

Please note that [b:d559dd9d17]these old forums will be shut down this weekend[/b:d559dd9d17] so that we can export and archive your old post history, and get everything off of SportingNews.com servers by our deadline. We'll be setting up a [b:d559dd9d17]temporary, scratch forum[/b:d559dd9d17] at the new site so that you can continue to have discussions in the interim before we launch our new permanent forum. More details to come, which will be posted here on this old forum.

As always, if you need to bring something to our attention, please email us at onlinegamesupport@strat-o-matic.com.

Okay. Interesting that the wiki page no longer says a single word about "making things right." :x

And barely a mention of the Fatigue problems from opening night...I guess to most including Bernie and SOM it's not a big deal...But if you ask someone with 30+ active teams it kinda sucked.

I would think that step 1 would be to get things running right before assessing what the damage was and how to "make things right".

One suggestion made was a limited time discount for new teams. Do you want that window to open and close before you even know what the end product will be?

My approach is to wait for everything to get fixed and then see what they do. Then I will assess whether things have been made right and what I want to do in regards to my participation here.

Bernie - coupla days ago:
Quote #1:"There was an issue that affected the internal calculation of pitchers' target pitch counts. I'm having this fixed for tonight."

Quote #2: "I made a fix to the pitcher fatigue issue that popped up in last night's run".

I think he's right. I've been watching the fatigue thing pretty closely and haven't seen any issues the last couple of nights.

Yes Kev, I think you're right it's been fixed....one night of flawed results isn't too bad but it is harder to accept when you have 30+ active teams...

Remember that it also happened to the 30 teams you were playing against. So, hopefully, it evened out for you.
