Pitcher consecutive scoreless inning streak

Anyone know if there is a pitcher's record for consecutive scoreless innings. Pete's on a tear and I probably just jinxed him. :wink:

I had Babe Adams throw 5 straight shutouts, I believe the total consecutive was around 52 I.P.s straight scoreless. He's thrown 8 shutouts so far with around 40 to go. :D

I've got H Newhouser currently at 2 1/3 IP scoreless - does that count?

I mention it only because he's coming off a strecth of 16 straight appearances of giving up at least 1 run (which is pretty remarkable in it's own right - especially since in like 3 of them had him only pitch to 1 hitter)
