NLD 13 Draft thread

Jeep, That's blazing speed at leadoff.

Niners, no big deal, I was just joking around. Still numbers are numbers, you just compare them to each other just like you would with the ratings book. The difference is, all the different factors are combined into one final number. Less confusing that way.

You know what? If you're still playing 2005 I'll give you a copy of the stats if you want them.

Semper,

you may have had your eye on Watson, but I'm putting in dibs on R Cedeno. His overall rating is an amazing .030!!

Course Watson actually has a negative rating v LHP! :) As does Andino

AT is up,

We're really boggin' down today guys :(

I'm guessing maybe it's because everyone else is having the beautiful spring day like I'm expeirencing here in central NY, Easily in the mid 70's for the first time in about 5 months. I should be golfing, but alas I don't have money for that either.

9'er,

[quote:92c4deb76c]Need to get Zambrano and Benoit some starting help[/quote:92c4deb76c]

That might be the understatement of the season.

Considering how muddy HAL's relief pitching logic is under TSN's program parameters (one size fits all concept), I'm not sure you can rely on the bullpen to bail out the starters.

Like some, I didn't get the ratings this year as I'll just play in the NLD ([b:92c4deb76c]luck over skill[/b:92c4deb76c] any day of the week) so I might be speaking out of my arse. However, you can overcome weak defense (most days) but BAD starting pitching - that is another story.

Not saying you have bad pitching - just that the pitching that is available ain't going to look pretty as many owners went for the 5e sluggers high and early.

there's a guy in one of my leagues who has a 4 D starting at 2b and SS  he was 19-11 but got swept last night... i know Jeff Kent is a 3-19 at 2b but he's better than a 12th round pick, i sort of gambled that everyone would be scared away by his 3 range and let him slide as far as i could...im playing in a FTF league so i do see all the X results up close...

But not I semper,

There be no Iron gloves here

2 at ss
2 at 2b
2 in CF with a minus arm
2 in rf with a Minus arm

Now I'm likely starting a 3 at 1b and 3b and maybe a 4 in LF, or maybe not, as I have some flexibilty between these 3 positions and DH, so I do hope that I WILL be of some defensive help to whatever pitching is left.

9,

Not your ranks but the other owners have those monster ballers.

I like Pedro's, Peavy's, and Prior's heater up around Hafner's head. If I could find a hard throwing LHSP, I'd toss him at Papi and Hafner all day long.

Just a reminder gents, the clock shuts off after 11pm tonight until monday.

Do try and check in. I myself won't be on much this weekend, very busy. Swim lessons, and oldest daughters 8th B-day party tomorrow and dance recital for both my girls on Sunday. Busy weekend.

Chris,

yep, I'll look at it tonight or tomorrow.

Niners,

Sounds like a fun weekend. BTW, when does the clock stop during the week?

Semper, Yeah, we took ortiz, but he's not going to see the field if we can help it. Everyone else out there (so far at least) is a 2.

Guess we're waiting on AT.
