Should I Start BUCKY WALTERS instead of SANDY KOUFAX???

[b:a42d514ecf]AM I FREAKING NUTS????[/b:a42d514ecf]

Playoffs start Monday. I'm facing a team that has only 2 left handed batters in their lineup, one is Joe Jackson the other is Mickey Cochrane (who is out until the finals, so they will actually only have 1 lefty bat in the lineup).

During the regular season this team I am facing hit about 20 points higher and against LHP's and that was with Cochrane in the lineup.

I have Sandy Koufax rested and ready to start game 1 (& therefore game 5 if needed), but am I better off sending Bucky Walters to the bump for game 1 to take advantage of the lefty/righty matchups?

[b:a42d514ecf]Or am I just totally nuts for asking this question?[/b:a42d514ecf]

Koufax's numbers vs RHs are still about 30% better than Bucky's. Plus, wouldn't you want Sandy to pitch 2X in the Semis?

Post the lineup or do a dimaond dope on each and see were your odds land Koufax vs Bucky.

Yup, I'm Diamond Doping the matchups as we speak (thanks Adrian).

I think you are more likely to second guess yourself if you use Bucky over Koufax. So long as the ballpark is a pitcher's park, I would still use Sandy.

Even against an almost all RH lineup, the numbers still seem to favor Sandy, so I'll leave it as is and stop second guessing myself. As they say, go with the horse that got you there.
