Play-Vs-CMs League

I am considering putting together a league that would be run similarly to the various netplay leagues that have sprung up from these forums, but would involve play against other people's computer managers (CMs) instead of netplay. I have several netplay projects in which I participate, and I love them, but I don't have the time for another. Hence, the idea of a Vs.-the-CMs league.

We would draft teams--the pool of players to be determined but which would likely include HOFers and Negro Leaguers--and then create CMs for our teams. Every week I would send out a new league file and you would play your home games against your opponent's CM (or perhaps your visiting games). You post the results to the league email list along with a short writeup, then send me CM for the next week. I import all the new CMs and we do another week.

That's basically the drill. It should involve a lot less of a time commitment than netplay. It WILL require you to have the Strat-O-Matic computer game, however.

Any interest? I already have about 6 or 8 guys that have said they will play, so the league will likely fly. Join us, the time commitment isn't remotely what it is for Netplay... :)
