Great response so far, thanks to everyone who has replied. I'll look up the rules to the old tourney, and will continue to consider ideas to change the rules somewhat. I agree there is an element of luck involved when limiting the stadiums, but the idea is sort of to crown a champion, and a champion must show the ability to overcome adversity, adapt to changing stadiums one is not used to playing in, and conquer! I anticipate this not starting for at least two more weeks, I'd like to see how the 2000+ victory theme league turns out prior to starting this one, as many of the high seeds are playing in that league right now and many haven't replied to this posting yet. I think we can find 48 to do the tournament with. Oh yeah, techinically this would be an "80s Open", but I like the sound of invitational so when we are ready I'll send an invitation out to all the managers who have signed up to make sure they still want to play. Stay tuned!

Sorry to rain on the parade, but...

I would like to see this held off until bernie gets around to modifying the 80's interface. I'd like to NOT reward TSN with a huge amountof 80's leagues until such time as they tweak the product some.

I agree with Sykes. We can all wait and it will give us an excuse to build teams with the new and improved interface and options.
