Thanks LOL

Maybe I should have started Seo - but I really thought I would win 1 at home. :(

Now the trend has reversed! After winning 3 on the road and 2 at home in the semi's, now I have lost 2 on the road and won 2 at home in the finals!

It will be a best of 6 at least, and I'll need to win at least 1 on the road to ensure a chance at the championship!

3 of the 4 games have been 1 run affairs ... lets see if this trend will continue.

Well I've finally won my 10th Championship! :) Kudos to Warrior for a well played Series.

5 of the 6 games were decided by 1 run - a pretty close series, and Game #6 was a classic!

[b:6a8fbe95d7]Team Awards:[/b:6a8fbe95d7]

MVP - Magglio Ordonez

Led or tied for the lead in Runs, Doubles, HR & SLG. Doesn't hurt that he hit the series winning HR!

CY Young - Jose Contreras

Anchor of my rotation and came up with some clutch wins. Doesn't hurt that he won the Award in the league either. :)

Relief - Eric Gagne

Although Motas rubber arm allowed Gagne to stay fresh, Gagne led the league in Saves & Sv %, as well as winning the League Rolaids Award, so I could not in good conscience snub him. ;)

Biggest Disappointment - Luis Castillo

Was hoping for a higher OBP presence from him.

Biggest Surprise - Hernandez/Olivo

Was hoping for some solid production out of my Catchers platoon, but 35 HR & 111 RBI is indeed a nice surprise!

Damn you, AT. It would have been my first World Series win in 2003 ...

Anyway, congratulations to you, and you're right, game 6 was a classic. Thought I would bring in May as a fresh weapon and nearly got through with it.

My MVP: E. Martinez with a .423 OBP, and B. Boone also wasn't that bad with more than 100 RBI and more than 100 runs..

My Cy Young: Mussina, who else?

Secret weapon: E. Dubose as a reliever (and starter in the play-offs)

Disappointment: A. Everett (never thought he would be a slugger, but batting for an avg. of .186 in the season??. .321 with 2 HRs in the play-offs, though)

Thanks Warrior & hawkeye! I hope you get a 2003 championship soon Warrior - I am still without a BTT80s ring so I know the feeling.

Everyone please check into the Season III thread. Although we probably will not be starting for another week or so, I'd like to know who needs to be replaced besides penngray as quickly as possible - thanks! :)
