Where have you gone, Mike Garcia and Tom Zachary???

Where have you gone, Mike Garcia and Tom Zachary???

Garcia was possibly *the* overall Cy Young award winner (apologies to Pete) in ATG 1, and Zachary was one of the better bargain pitchers. (Speaking of which, when was the last time you saw Firpo or Earnshaw used?) Obviously when they were priced upward for ATG II, Garcia and Zachary lost some of their mojo.

However ... I'm thinking about trying them in Polo, in a 100 mil league. Any recent experiences with these guys? Nothing's *wrong* with them now, is there?

If nothing else, it will be kinda sentimental.

(Which reminds me that Strat is turning me into a total dork.)

I never used Zachary but would take Garcia just about anywhere. Here's what he's doing on a mediocre under .500 team . (68-73)

35 20 8 0 231.0 222 108 70 105 4.21 1.26

He has 3 more wins than anyone else and is 5th in the CY race . If he was on a better team , he'd be the man . @Wrigley 59 in a theme league of only players from 1950-1980. He also has thrown a no hitter for me on another team but can't remember which one to get stats for you .

I use Garcia all the time. He's tailor made for my Fenway '86 teams. Can't recall him ever disappointing. Zachary, I think I only used twice. Not memorable at all. Not fond of his card.
