Who do you think are some of the biggest bargains or most overpriced cards in the 1969 set?

Overpriced: (Though he always performs well for me in ATG II): Cleon Jones

Rod Carew

LMBombers, U must excuse SocalChiro he is confused. :? We went to college together years ago. He was confused then also. Notice his league name. Woodstock Invitational. He was a HUGE pot smoker back in the day.

I'd say a bit [b:fbf8904f01][i:fbf8904f01]over[/i:fbf8904f01][/b:fbf8904f01] priced.

For a 15 game liability, 3 defensive, less than stellar hitter vs. LH's...$5.34 million is a bit much for my wallet.

I agree that Carew is overpriced if we were playing ATG ... but given the cards in this set, both he and Jones might actually be bargains. OBP is going to be at a premium. Bad defense, 15-game liabilities, unbalanced cards look like the norm.

Tommy Davis looks nice against lefties, if you can stand that horrible arm.

A couple 3Bs looks like they could start for less than 1 million.

Sluggers like May and Allen aren't that good against righties, and they're pretty expensive. I guess we're going to have to get used to making the most of cards with problems.

You have to throw the ATG pricing structure out the window-- this is a very different set. At quick glance it looks like prices are roughly about 50% inflated. Thus a 6M Cleon becomes a 9M Cleon.

Think of it this way-- what would you pay for Ozzie in this game?
