any thought giving to the timing and procedure for the 1984 drfat? There will be tons of new players. Can we get a list from penn? Draft on penn's site?

Personally, I will be out of the country Oct 1-8. With no access. If we do draft at that point I sure sean will stand in for me. I don't need to hold up the train.

I was thinking of asking a slight delay, at least to starting the 84 season. YF, if you're going to be unavailable we could certainly put off the draft while you're gone. We should draw for draft order before you go, though (once the season is over). I expect the playoffs won't end until about Oct 3 - 6.

Penn, will you be able to generate a list of 84 rookies, this time? I don't know if we'll need to use your draft site, though it might be nice since this one might be longer, and we could use proxies.

I've sent a league email to Dingo, to confirm whether he is planning to give up his team after this season, as he previously stated. I assume everyone else is still in for next year.

As for a replacement, should we need one, I don't want to open it up to first-come-first-serve. I'd rather recruit someone we know and want in the league. I know there's a few 80s fanatics who didn't get in the first time around. I'll start taking suggestions once I hear back from Dingo.

as anxious I am looking for the (happy?) ending of the 1983 season I am looking for the start of 1984. BUT I will be without internet access Oct. 5 - 20. So I would appreciate if we can start after my return!

I remember TRich saying he was sorry he missed the start of this league. I think he'd be a fine replacement (should we need one), although I can't really say I'll be looking forward to playing in the same division with him :)

He's currently in a 1969 league with me. If you want to invite him, just LMK and I'll send him a league mail.

Unbelievable. I've totally decimated my team in favour of players for next season. Yet, I just completed my third sweep in the last week. I can't lose for trying (I'm not actually trying to lose). I could almost miss my slot in the bottom four.

Meanwhile there remains one amazing race left. 3-way tie again in my Central division, going into the last series of the season! The Wild Card is still in play, too.
