I turn 42 in November(send your cards and letters boys). In the summer of 69 I had just moved to Atlanta at the age of 5. I have no real recollection of the famous season. I do remember a few things. Having just moved from Cinncinnati I was forming an idol worship over Johnny Bench. Having just arrived in Atlanta I identified with the Braves very quickly. Dad and I took in alot of games that summer. A lot of the Braves lived in the area and you would see them at the store or the dentist etc. Eventually Larry McWilliams of Pete Rose fame moved in a couple of doors up the street. He stayed until traded to the Rangers I do believe. Don't forget the Mets had to beat the Braves to make it all happen. Lastly, it was the summer of my first little league team. I played on the Stone Mountain Metropolitians(it was filled with recent northern transplants that the good ol boys hadn't got to know yet). I was #5 and I caught so naturally Jerry Grote and Duffy Dyer were my other idols althought short lived.

J.B knows I love him....but I left him off my card. Too many othe cheap and effective C's out there. Although a Grote/Dyer platoon ain't too bad.

So, just want to know if anyone has been rejected when U sent out an invite for a friend. As I have said all along, Visick is a backstabber and friend rejector!

47 here...God, I'm older than Frank!!

'69 was the first year I really payed any attention to baseball, and the first season of strat i ever played (with Gamer46, Malec, among others!)...My hero was and is still Johnny Bench (splinter, we have a kinship!)...I was a "Big Red Machine" fanatic (as visick knows)....So everyone keep your mitts off my Reds!!

However, Vida Blue will be my first pick! I am thinking of batting him clean up vs lefties.....

Re-live?

Man, I was 3 years old!

Re-live what? My Sesame Street / Wonderama days?

Tarbell is freakin' 47?

Frank...You'll be happy to know that I'm giving you a pass this season on the "Old " jokes.

Mike...
