Just like clockwork?

Just like clockwork?

Here goes the injury bug conspiracy theory again....

In my leagues last night with seasons ending in game 51(appx 1/3 of season) several of the same players due injuries (had played all games to date yet lack 600 PA's on their card) went lame. For example..Guillen(3 leagues 2 injuries). Anyone else?

Also, we all know the 600 PA rule. However, I think Hal still goes after guys who played less than 150 games but reach 600PA. I have seen guys like Martinez(C) and Kotsay both get injured with more frequency but for the minimum amount of games this season.

Does anyone else sense a game 49-54(1/3 season) injury cycle?

Splinter, I have to agree with you. Whether its ATG2 or 200X leagues, having the same player get injuried at the same time when you have him on multiply teams. OR how about relief pitchers and closers on multiply with blown saves on the same night. I see this on many of my teams and it frustrates me to no end. Coincidence, I think not!!!!!! But thats just me.

Splinter...we prolly need to talk.

You've got Frank agreeing with you.

That is a serious problem.

Coincidence, yes.

There's no earthly way anything like what you're insinuating could be happening systematically.

It is clockwork that in any random events there will be coincidences and when using human intuition to judge these coincidences there will be "conspiracy theories"; that is what is like clockwork in my view. That said it's good to discuss just in case the conspiracy theory is correct but in this case bernie indicated in response within this thread that there's no reasonable possibility for this to occur.

Clockwork

It is possible that TSN produces set rolls for each player at the beginning of each night and all of that players teams get the same rolls. This would save TSN significant computing power. TSN would only have to calculate whether the roll was on the hitter or pitcher card.
