Who is this Edmonds guy and why is he trying to destroy my team? Anyone want him?

For $12.74M all I get is a .218 BA, .350 OBP, 13 HRs, and 58 RBIs in over half a season?

Sigh.

He'd fit right in with my hitless wonders team, though his obp would be a tad high.

Well, he must not have liked his GM dissing him because in game #3 last night he ripped FOUR homers. Of course, they were all solo shots.

This HPCC is reall funky and cool, perhaps my favorite league to follow at the mo. In many ways I think the teams match so well against each other that we all have some "unexplainable" stats. Some good and some on the not so good side.

For a first run at coors I am fairly OK with my team, been getting some unlucky rolls and some good ones but so far a surprisingly low injury season from Eric Chavez. -just watch him go down for 15 now that I wrote this.

Is it me or pretty much most teams have a negative run differential?

Charlie, I thought the same thing about Edmonds when I saw he blasted 4 shots...he didn't like you talking to the "press" about him that way...hmmm...let me try it:

Fellas, I think all my entire team is hitting like little gurlies, they should just give it up and play soccer...who are these guys and why are they not hitting and the pitchers.... :roll: I wish they'd defect to Cuba and play "amateur" ball there.

The negative press worked - sort of. Won two games last night, BUT:

cota - out 9 games
bay - out 10 games
glaus - out 15 games (he just returned from missing 10 games)

I have furcal batting 4th against lefties now. And I play riggo's 8 game winning streak tacos tonight. I don't think I'll be able to look at the scores tomorrow.

I was hopeful of trying to reel in Riggo's team a bit lastnight playing at home but my pitching and offense just totally vanished. :evil: :cry: :roll:

Holy Crap Batman!!

Hit .507, 16 doubles, 20 HR's, 63 runs, and still lost a game.

I've seen one game like this but not back to back.

Yeah it looks like my team has run out of gas but still, I have to admit, I've never still back to back 30 run games before! :x

My team after being very competitive most of the season just seems to be mailing it in now. :evil: :evil:

What is wrong with Mota? I brought in Mota as an upgrade to adams, who had his good moments but overall was struggling. Adams got into 36 games before being released, going 1-2, 2 saves, with a 5.46 ERA and 1.62 whip. Not good. But Mota, with a better card, has been a horror every single time he goes to the mound. Even HAL hates him, refusing to use him in a game last night and instead sending in sport starter ortiz (who promptly lost the game). Mota has pitched in 25 games and has posted a 6.69 ERA and 2.20 whip - 53 hits and 24 walks in 35 IPs. He can't really be this bad, can he?
