With my two injuries, I'm playing that first ballot Hall of Famer Craig Reynolds in the outfield for the final three games of the season and, if I'm lucky, deep into the playoffs. :roll:

I've got my own injury horror story. :evil: :evil: At game 114 in the season, I had a 14 game lead over 2nd place. Since then:

Game 114 - Clemente injured for 6 games
Game 123 - Speer injured for 3 games
Game 125 - Chance injured for 7 games
Game 126 - Joe Dimaggio injured for 3 games
Game 140 - Joe Dimaggio injured for 3 games
Game 141 - Chance injured for 2 games
Game 146 - Clemente injured for 2 games
Game 148 - Chance injured for 15 games :evil:
Game 154 - Clemente injured for 15 games :evil:

I have gone 19-26 in the last 45 games and the second place team is 33-12.

Three games to go and we're tied for 1st. This REALLY SUX. It's like playing with a $70M roster against $80M. :x

Had Simmons and Doby gone for the last series (Simmons had a 15 gamer previous to that). I was at home (Huntington) in a 60 mill. league down 1 needed to sweep to make the playoffs, ended up winning 2 out of 3 but misseded the playoffs by 1 game, Aargh! Boo HAL! :x

I had Campenella batting cleanup and a one game lead he goes down from game 146-161 I have 75 wins end up with 77-85
finish season 2-14 including 12 in a row and end up in 3rd. PS I did win 162 with Campy back in the lineup (Yaz, and others went down during this fall from grace)

Going into the final week I was in the middle of a 3 team race for the division and a 6 team race for the WC . Playing @Bennett I lost for 3 games Yaz , Aaron , Eddie Murray . Yaz went down 1st in the 2nd game of the Monday night game for 3 games. Hank went down in the 1st game on Tuesday for 3 games . Eddie went down for 3 games 1st game on Wednesday and then on Thursday , Yaz and Hank went down for 3 games . I finished 6 out and went 2-13 the final week . In the words of Yosemite Sam " Eyes hates injuries, consarnit"
