This is Yount?

This is Yount?

OK, after about 100 teams, I decided to finally give Yount a try--

Now I'm not complaining about this team, it rocks, but Yount?

What is it with these guys? Mays (except once), Yount... they hate me! I'm sure if I ever tried Cobb, he's hit around .260 for me.

I'l stick to my 2-7 mil players (except Joe D. he ROCKS).

You realize that you are about to unleash a flurry of links from the managers that have had the GOOD Yount...

Yount is much better as a Hummer.

He is your leading RBI man though.

yeah, Tim, I noticed that. Though how he can get all those RBIs without hitting the ball is a mystery.

Beer & peanuts would be nice, but the Germaniacs management provides that for free. :D

Of course I don't expect .400 from him, but .230, with a .275 OPB?, and I do have a Polo and Huntington in my division.

Rob, YOU could probably lead most of my teams in HRs. On my teams my "slugger" will maybe get 15 or 20.

I love this team, but Yount's performance is a bit surprising, to say the least.

Here you go Munich Man. Yount in Wrigley, .326 avg, 40 DO, 40 HR and 160 RBI

The only bad thing he did was sell Budweiser

Try him in a real man's ballpark (Fenway '67).

He will improve and likely hit .300

Sure MM....I understand and I was not trying to talk you into liking Yount, there are quite enough Yount fans out there now. My point was when you decided to use Yount you may have been thinking RBI's and HR's .... which he is providing......granted he is down a LOT in BA and OBP and his runs scored are off too.....and he is also leading your team in errors.

BUT.... I bet he continues to lead your team in HR's and RBI's .... he will continue to provide a "1" range at SS ....and I bet he don't miss a game all season.... I also bet his average and OBP go up....the team is 24-9 and if he were hitting .300 I doubt you would have won many more....maybe 1 or 2. I think every player regardless of his cost in the game can and will have bad seasons...even Joe D who you like. I like Joe a lot myself and use him OFTEN.... on one team he has missed most of the season with injuries and so is killing me.

So.... I bet a beer---or a scotch if you prefer ...payable in vegas - that Yount ....

1) Leads the team in RBI's
2) Leads the team in HR's
3) OBP goes up
4) BA goes up
5) Doesn't miss a game :D
