Seriously, if we all use our proxies reasonably, and, most important, let people know in this thread if they will be away for a while or when the next expect to be able to make their picks, there won't be a problem. If I know that tycobb won't be able to make his pick for 8 hours, fine, I won't need to chek every 30 minutes.

Live drafts are great, I don't care if it takes three days or three weeks. I mean, the game isn't going anywhere, right? with some common courtesy and patience, we'll get through this no problem.

Well said. Let's turn the proxies on and not be petty about this. In my limited experience, 9 times out of 10, there is a pretty good reason for a long delay. That reason is life. I don't recall any charter rules stating that we had to live in our parents' basements and not leave the computer until the draft is done.

Common courtesy coupled with compassionate conformity with respect to proxies will leave us all contentedly chipper. :?

Well....I always enjoyed live drafts....... for some reason every live draft I have been in lately should more aptly be named a dead draft, pushing the limits of my patience to the max....15 hours without a pick. I may have to withdraw from the league..... I am going to be gone for 11 days home for 1 then gone again for 2 days (my youngest graduating from college).....the one day I am home I will be almost completely unavailable catching up on house chores, bills etc and have a banquet on my first day back from the 2 day trip.....so I will be out of the loop from the 24th until the 9th. If I don't see substantial movement in this draft in the next couple of days you guys will need to get a replacement.

Well, I've got nothing on my schedule for the next few months so I've got no excuse but to wait it out...

This is called the doldrums. I usually see the doldrums at the neighborhood coffee shop, at the time when the train is due to arrive in 3 minutes and there is nobody available to get me a coffee until the train is pulling into the station. Those 2 minutes and 48 seconds are the doldrums, but they are very very very high stakes critical doldrums. Not like these doldrums, which sorta sit there and go nowhere...

my access is going to be spotty over the next 3 months....now till the middle of July.... I have several trips planned... Texas-Indiana-Vegas-Canada and Canada.....will be gone at least 35 days .....HEY...I'm RETIRED....and supposed to be running all over having fun.... so thats what I am gonna do. :D :shock: :D and as much as i love the game ....its going to be a distant 2nd 8)

Well grindi, I hope you are satisfied. You have complained the most, and you have held up the draft as long as anyone.

I don't mind waiting, but if you turned your proxies off just to make a point, well, that's just not right. :(
