These guys are using pencils for bats. They're sucking big time. Why? http://fantasygames.sportingnews.com/baseball/stratomatic/atg2/team/team_other.html?user_id=60026. :x

What did you expect with Count Dracula as the manager? Just provide
blood transfusions before every night game and they will be okay.

Why is Doby have so few ABs?
Cooper really does not deserve to hit vs. Lefties
Joe Wood always seems to stink (he and Alou are a very weak platoon)....Smoking Joe Wood was always a better pitcher than hitter!
You are playing in a neutral stadium with 4 HR bats and 4 small ball bats...you should have fewer of each and more 4 BPHR guys on your team.....
Also I have found that if you put your best relievers as Closers, you don't get enough innings out of them...put your worst 2 relievers as L/R closers and then your 2-3 million dollar guys will pitch a lot more for you.. Works for me!

Uh oh, Grindi's RP strategy is legendary .... :D

Here are your numbers from player cards:

OBP vs RH 0.384
SLG vs RH 0.433
OPS vs RH 0.817
HR Rate vs RH 3.1
BPHR vs RH 33
OBP vs LH 0.361
SLG vs LH 0.433
OPS vs LH 0.794
HR Rate vs LH 3.0
BPHR vs LH 33

A bit lower than I would expect from a Grindi Sprtsman's team :)

It appears that your OBP, especially against LHs is a bit too low. Carter, Doby and Coop lend credence to this idea. You also have a fair number of BPHRs, so I would guess (without looking) that you are playing a fair number of pitcher parks which would explain some of the low BA and underperformance.

Sorry, you might be screwed .....

Sneezedoc. There is no platoon. Doby has been hurt a LOT. Reggie is just off of the injured list as is Steinfeldt. Cooper is outhitting Carter against leftys. He's one of my regulars and he is the only hitter performing except for Doran.
Sschu. Just out of divisional play and there is a Forbes, Candlestick, and Yankee 56 in the div. What's really making bad is my pitching is as bad as my hitting. Usually my games are close and I win in the late innings. On this team the game is over by the 7th.
I have had a lot of injuries. My bench has 209 at bats in 33 games. When Doran and Cooper are leading the team in hitting something isn't copasetic. What to do? What to do?

Grindi, the answer is obvious-- with that manager, anything you do will be in vein.

A team I have is at game 96, my top seven starters have gone down for 75 games already, 9%! Bush has beeh hurt 4 times, Joe DiMaggio has missed 30 games already, Reggie Jackson has been hurt 3 times. This seems a bit steep, even for Joe D types.

Its hard to win when Marshall Edwards, Dave Chalk and Al Weis have 300+ ABs after 96 games on a slugging team .... :?

I would not be surprised if Doby, Coop and Carter never come around.

The Count has whipped these guys into a force to be reckoned with. From a record that was 19 losses more than wins, they have won 15 straight and now are a game over .500 at 50-49. They are only 3 games out of the division lead and 1 out of the wildcard. IF they keep it up and make the playoffs, it has to be the biggest comeback of all time. Hope I didn't jinx them but this was just too good not to share.
Coop and Carter are flat out lighting it up!
