A lesson on how to SCREW UP a 100 win team!

A lesson on how to SCREW UP a 100 win team!

Sometime between weeks 3-4 of the season, I must have failed to set my per game starters or HAL did one of his disappearing settings tricks. Either way, this team ended up winning 99 GAMES. But, the kicker is Ken Johnson, Blue Moon Odom, Preacher Roe and Jim Slaton grabbed a combined for 17 starts in a 6 day stretch during which my team went 5-12.

The team ended up breaking into the top 5 record books for team WHIP. And didn't miss by too much on ERA.

I can only imagine what could have been if Koufax, Alexander, Brown & Hughson had gotten the starts instead .........

Interesting how sometimes the team name ends up fitting the team!!!

Aw Eg, your "Experiment" wound up matching me for wins in that league -- and with 2 weeks to go my Dominoes were on a pace to win about 110. Then something bad happened I guess. No injuries to speak of, nothing I could pinpoint. Just bad performance. But I staggered across the finish line and into the playoffs anyway. If the season had gone on another week I'd have been out of the running entirely.

I did manage to get to play the wild card team, but that won't be easy as that team is Play By The Rules' and it's loaded for bear.

The smart money is on your boys to win it all Eg.

I hope you're right. I too did not wanna play PBTR's team. He came on strong at the end of the season and has the hot team right now.
