Our Mystery Card games - The '70s Game, Back to the '80s, Back to the '90s

You've put together a pretty good team so far for our first 80's. I decided to risk Gooden this time because of my park and division. Which you are a part of.
I like the OBP\WHIP theroy. Although many of my pitchers have not lived up to the latter of my thinking. I have had very good success with Hoyt in the past and Royals stadium should help him more.
As I recall the first time I ever faced penngray he had Lynn in center at the Astrodome, like me. He did well for him. I have used him once before, on my lone play-off team, and got injured in the 2nd game. He makes me nervous.
One that has not been mentioned as a platoon in center against lefties is Wiggins. He is a 2 , but no arm. I had him platoon with Lynn late in the season that Lynn got hurt and did well. I have used him again with similiar results.
Not many "cheap" rp left. penngray beat us to the one I think is the best , Niedenfuer. I have had only once ever had to let him go out of dozen teams. He quite simply "rocks" where ever you call home.
It seems a bit strange telling a manager of your status about players, but would be glad to share with you what I have learned in the short time I have been involved in the 80's. I learned alot watching penngray. Having played against him in about 1\2 my teams. Alao a couple of vets shared their insight. Tracking injuries was a real key to revealing the possible year of the player. I have made some great pick-ups that way.
Look forward to playing you. Will let you knwo if Lynn makes me nervous enough to let him go before Monday

luckyman is one of the best at SOM period so even when he doesnt know the cards, he definitely knows the game inside out.

Thanks to all because, with your help, I've finished first with a 94-68 record.

I trailed second to david carroll's excellent team for the whole season until the last series, in which we swept them.

We`re facing penngray in the first series, so it should be an easy one...

Gusee what? If you win, you will get a free credit and this will not be your only team in the 80's

If Penn wins - well maybe he will give it to charity
