I only managed to get 4 of the players that I drafted. I expected that I had a sub .500 team here. But somehow I have the best record in the league nearly half way through the season. I managed one three game set where I outscored my opponent by about 30 runs. But for the most part I get outscored, but still take 2 out of three. I'd love to see my record in one and two run games.

Anybody have an idea on why I might be winning?

Again last night. I played the only team in the league with a better record than mine. I scored six runs and I gave up six runs. And I manges to take two out of three games.

I won 1-0 and 2-1 and lost 5-3

Could be

I am 3rd in ERA, and have been in the top three most of the season. Clemmons of course is quite good, but I'd rather have a less expensive pitcher and spen the extra $ on hitting. Note that Burhle and Colon are doing nearly as well as Clemmons, bit only coat half as much.

The middle infield has been a strength for sure. Castillo is somewhat of an injury risk, but he hasn't missed a game yet. (81 straight). However they are not turning double plays. I'm near the bottom of the list there.

I've often been near the top in BA when I play in Fenway. My.285 average does lead the laegue. But BA doesn't translate into runs. I am currently sixth in runs scored and only have 3 more than the eighth place team. More telling may be my BA against lefty's which is .334.

are you serious? you've got plenty of decent players to work with -not surprising your doing so well- why not dump clemens, clark, abreu, tejada and murton - then you'd have nothing to complain about

the pitcher's and opposing hitter's card usually has a bigger impact on GIDPs...pitchers with double digit gbA plus an opposing hitter with 20 or so is much more influential than the few instances that come up with X chances

I new I shouldn't have posted this. My team has been sliding ever since. I've gone 4-8 over the past 12 games. Gone from 9 games up to 5 in my division.
