Any feedback ... Have Contraras & Chacin getting beat up ... Whould it make sense to swap for Aaron Small & Erik Bedard?

Any thoughts/feedback would be great.

Bedard is getting toasted in my league. He doesn't seem to be giving up the long ball, but his ERA is over 6.00 playing in Bank One. So I suspect you'd be giving up fewer HR's but more base hits.

That's a very good starting 4 for US Cell (for those salaries) and I wouldn't swap. Strat is a game based upon probabilities and I wouldn't make changes just based upon a portion of a season as long as I had reasons for what I was doing. In the case of your starting 4 there is a reason that they are right for the park and that is because they have very low # chances and their on base is okay enough for the salaries. If a league has a penalty for picking up free agents (20% etc.) then swapping just because a player isn't doing well so far is a good way to hurt your team. On the other hand, if you have someone on your team who doesn't actually fit well (a high # pitcher in US Cell, for example) then a swap would be a good thing.

I think you sp's are just fine for your park. 3 of them have no BP Hr's, which means those HR's are coming off the hitters card. Remember that in your park, the era and whip will always be higher, due to the nauture of the park.

The bigger problems seem to be a) your cheap RP specialists are seeing to many innings. b) underperforming Griffy and Giles and c) Kielty, though a decent bargain, not really fitting in. Figgins is also W powered both way, and though doing well, is only really fit for leadoff vs righties.

As nfled said, making whole sale changes usually does not make your team better, at least not through the FA list. See if you could trade your underperformers, or wait for them to heat up.

Thank you guys for your feedback ... what you said makes sense ... it can be very easy to over react and 'jump ship' ...

US Cell is my favorite park. I've been playing it for the last three years with decent success. I would hold pat. Don't ever take the salary hit, unless it's in a league w/ less than 20%.

Nice offense BTW. I can't seem to get those numbers from Posada.
