Mark Ellis

No complaints here. Two different teams, similar results.
After 87 games: .320avg .394OBP, and 10 HR. The other team, after 66 games, .318, .377 and 5 HR. Well worth the money, unlike Roberts whose sorry behind I had to dump after failing to get to the Mendoza line and dragging down the whole team.

I'm changing my tune on Ellis. After 87 games (park = LAN):

[b:d7a972a7ec].289/.360/.430.

20 DOUBLES!
3 TRIPLES
8 HOMERUNS[/b:d7a972a7ec]

Now if the gods won't jinx me for saying so, he should finish out great, and help me into the post season. 8)

So far do not think he is worth the high price even with the 2e8 fielding.

AB 183
Hits 40
Ave .217
OBP .276
DBL 4
HR 4

Ballpark is McAfee

Ryno,

Where in the lineup do you have him hitting?

I currently have hit hitting 2nd in the line-up behind Figgins vs RH and Giles vs LH.

He has faced righhanders in 156 of his 196 ABs or 80%. I am sure that this has something to do with it since he his avg is .192 versus RH and .325 vs LH.

2nd is where I have him too. He has a few too many gbA's really for #2, but normally he would make up for this by hitting for AVG, plus on my team the guy has some pop in his bat (20 2Bs and 9 HRs in 93 games).

I am not the greatest Strat player in here by any stretch, but in these situations, I believe yu should shake up this lineup. He needs his luck changed that's all. It is not a bad card, and the ballpark (OAA = SINGLE 1-10 for RHBs) should be helping him more than it is hurting him.

Drop him to 8th or 9th vs RHPs if you have some other option. Or try to pick up a good top of the order option to bat 2nd vs RHPs (someone like Davanon?).

Some guys prefer a huge bat at #2 though.
