First Coors Team: any comments?

Postby visick » Mon Apr 17, 2006 9:09 am

I think you look 100X better Aray.

Complete games in Coors does NOT happen very often, so don't worry about it.

You SP looks MUCH better AND as does your RP. Having R2's and R3's are a necessity when you play in Coors.

In all my years of playing Strat (board game & online) I've never seen a + clutch card like Everett's. (Both ways...  )
I like having him on my Coors teams as a PH/backup OF.

Alright, I'm trying a coors team based partially on the advice in this here thread.

Wondering what to do with the leftover cash, besides needing a ss and dh. heilman and carrasco to run the pen. not much in the way of ss left by the time I reach my waiver pick (furcal, wilson, cabrera). considering leaving harris as dh vs righties-- like a cheaper garabito IMO, both have done well so far for me.
Any suggestions?

digmoose, many things worng on that team I see...

Pavano as your 5th sp? that seems just plain crazy. Either replace Prior with another * sp, or replace him and Pavano with 2 cheaper, no BP hr guys.

Really I don't like your offense that much either. 3's everywhere up the middle, no backup for Guillen at SS, especially with his high injury.

really it's an ok offense, but not one I would love.

ok, don't want to retype, just saw you havne't done waivers yet.....

if it were me, I'd go agaisnt the grain here and replace Prior with Clemens. You may not get him, but I'd go for it. If not him definetly go for lackey as your first slot.

Perhaps Jeter for leadoff and a better SS (though he is big time underperforming for me on 2 teams)

Gibbons has been badass for me in Coors, batting lower in the order.

really thought it's hard to gague until waivers pass. Either way playes like Utley and Tracy really need platoon mates IMHO, which is why I try to avoid them.

ok, dropped hawkins and peralta for vogelsong. gives me 3 r3 and two specialists. no cook available.
as far as peralta, the best option otherwise for the cash is garabito/lecroy platoon. as of now lineups may look like:
vs R/ vs L
Jeter / Jeter
Utley/ Peralata
Griffey / Wright
Floyd / Griffey
Wright / Perez
Piedra / Floyd
Peralta / Molina
Gibbons / Gibbons
Schneider / Utley

want to use wright at #2 but gbA's scare me.
