After some consideration, I have decided to stand with the rules as currently is.

I am willing to go with a specified 'frenzy' start time, provided a majority can agree on a time, otherwise it will "first-come first-serve" once Games I-III have run and the 95% cap hit takes effect.

To be honest, I am sure this benefits other owners more than it does me because I do not have any BTT80s leagues running right now and have no idea what the usual time for games to run is in BTT80s. I probably wont be making any moves until the morning. :)

[b:74829dfae2]NOTE: ANY PLAYERS ADDED PRIOR TO THE 95% CAP HIT WILL BE REQUIRED TO BE RELEASED, AND YOU WILL BE BARRED FROM RE-ACQUIRING THAT PLAYER.[/b:74829dfae2]

Obviously this does not include Alphonso, or any other owner who had to re-add a player that did not fit on their roster going into the autodraft.

AT, after 10:00 (the time you must have your lineups in), any changes made do not affect that day's play. Also, any move you make after 10:00 on the first day will include the 5% hit on player's dropped. So, even though the game stats do not post until later, I assume that the appropriate time for this to begin is any time after 10:00 on Monday. If you happen to make a change before 10:00 (e.g., one that changes your first series lineup, it will be null/void and you'll have to suffer the consequences mentioned above).

My team is in. The Central is full. I've got to run right now. I'll be able to pass the PW along in about 2 hours or so from now if someone else can't do it before then.

Question?

Can we trade with another team prior to game 1 or do we have to wait?

Jablowmi: While you are correct in surmising that any change made after 10pm Eastern will not affect Games I-III, you are incorrect in your assumption that the 95% hit takes effect at 10pm. Unless BTT80s has changed since my last team, it, like all the other TSN/SOM games, does not have the Cap hit take place until [b:38e25b8a6b]after[/b:38e25b8a6b] Game I-III results are in.

I know this for a fact because I have routinely made changes past 10pm without any cap hit. I have been able to make changes as late as 2am sometimes, so long as the game results had not run.

----

Sykes: Owners can trade any time after the autodraft runs, provided the players they acquire [b:38e25b8a6b]remain[/b:38e25b8a6b] on the rosters through til after Game III.

If that's the case, then I really think we need to reconsider the need to (1) set a time on Tuesday morning/afternoon, or (2) have a 2 round draft. Otherwise, some will sit by their computers hitting the refresh button until carpal tunnel sets in and then revamp their team while others are asleep or watching Letterman. The purpose of all leagues, and themes in particular, is to see which manager is the best (and luckiest) under the given rules. Here, the luck factor in building the team will significantly outweigh the skill.

I dont see the HUGE deal people are making about tweaking rosters after the games run. If they want to stay up until 4am to set their team, so be it.

We can do math on folks to ensure they suffered the 95% add/drop rate if you want and punish them if you'd like. I won't give a hoot until next Tuesday morning.

My 4th and 5th starters are Luis Leal and Steve McCatty and my best RP is Cecilio Guante. My team will be better if I replace those guys with the 3 best available players. Plus, I am about $15M under the cap. I don't remember who was on waivers at the end of the season, but I bet I can do better than Jeff Leonard in CF. Maybe Brett or someone like him was dropped last season. I'd be glad to be the only one picking through the guys on waivers next Monday, I just don't think it is fair. But, if everyone else thinks it's no big deal, then I guess it's no big deal.

I haven't received a password to get into the league. Are the first 2 divisions filled yet?
