NL Only League / 60 mil Cap & Live Draft

I would like to try my "luck" in '69 but with Rita bearing down, not sure how long I might be without electricity and such. I put my name as an alternate just in case you need a final member and I get electricity before the league starts. Dont have to wait for me if get a full 12.

I REALLY want this league to fill and start but I have some reality questions...
There are exactly 12 participants choosing from 12 teams.....the salary cap average of the 12 real teams is 55.29 (well below the 60) using EVERY Player....With an autodraft, teams are going to have ALers placed on their team that they can't get rid of because there will BE NO AVAILABLE player pool to draft from (for example you pick Pete Rose to be on your team and you get Yaz.....you have to drop him and there is no one within 6 million dollars of Yaz even available to pick from)....this type of league done by Autodraft is a killer...
I propose a LIVE draft for this and the AL league...otherwise there are going to be BIG problems

Im with sneeze, don't see how this works without live draft. that's my preference,, it's hard enough assembling nl only under 60m, fixing it after autodraft would be absolute nightmare!

Riggo....I want you to weigh in on this idea of switching to a live draft on Pennygray's site after assessing my points.....after all it is your league but don't think it can be succeessful any other wa (thanks for your vote of confidence, Meat! :D

Well, survived old Rita's blast through Texas, so feeling lucky now. :P However, my apartment in Port Arthur may not be in good shape. Just waiting around till I am able to get to that town and see what I may have lost.

Unless there are [b:a62faac103]MAJOR [/b:a62faac103]objections from the other owners, format for this league will switch to [b:a62faac103]10-Round Live Draft[/b:a62faac103] on Penngray's site. The stadium picks stay - we'll be drafting 10 rounds for players only. That should be a pretty quick draft and I think that will be enough to distribute the top tier talent.

Need a few more brave owners... :P
