LOTO 2006 WARMUP LEAGUE...

Postby cummings2 » Thu Apr 20, 2006 5:21 pm

On a slight change of topics.

For sometime I noticed kinda like a bad vibe hanging around in the forums... you know, some fairly insulting, condescending, and annoying attitudes, none directed at me but still, it kinda put me off from even checking the forums.

The the other night I did my routine check on charlie's world of warcraft thread in the bullpen (I don't know the game but good read...like an online fantasy novel) and I saw some of the bickering going on in the bullpen...jeez louise, it's like a bullpen scene in fenway when the yankees are in town...so, I don't know if some of that is slipping to the other forums but boy oh boy was it welcoming to have that tread you started Rob! -and you too Charlie!

Nice going there fellas!

I couldn't tell you the last time I went to The Bullpen, and I don't miss it, that's for sure.

It seems like some of the "old luster" from the original boards never made its way here to this one. I miss the good ole days.

Not saying I don't enjoy the people on here, but there's just a little something missing, and I can't neccessarily put my finger on it.

Meanwhile, my team here continues to suck. Nevertheless, this is a good league with a nice group of managers, like all the LOTO leagues are.

A little win streak puts the Phanatics in early WC contention. Can they keep it going?

Chuck, you're right about the Bullpen. I used to like going there to get different opinions on various topics because I know I'm not always right or haven't looked at issues from other perspectives but lately it's turned into I'm right, you're wrong. Not very educational.

I second Jeep's comment about avoiding the bullpen like the plague. I visitied it briefly when they first formed it but I quickly felt an ugly vibe there and having strong convictions myself about some topics I soon decided that I wanted nothing to do with that forum.

It's true though that their was much more fervor with the old forums that never made it to this new board...It's a shame.

Yep that BP is something alright.

But now...it looks as if my 11 straight winning series are in serious jeopardy...I'm up against T-Rich (always tough) in hs park without Jonny Gomes...not that his .257 AVG would scare anyone but I have no-one to replace him him with....and Jack wilson is down too...for a game only but nonetheless...let's see how it goes...

My team is just trying to make it's way back to .500 and now we've got to face Jeff's tough as nails Dull Blade team without my best reliever!
Not to mention that his park totally kills my lefthanded power.

More roster moves for the JeepDrivers today.

My GM has surgery scheduled to remove the cell phone that has permanently attached to his ear...This surgery is rare for someone other than a teenage girl and/or a late night phone operator for the [i:789b942935]Girls Gone Wild[/i:789b942935] video.

Go JeepDrivers!

It's funny. Every time I make a few roster moves my team does well that night, such as winning the series last night. Then, they awake and revert to their mediocre ways. Hopefully this time my squad can get amnesia and have a winning streak.

Well, my streak of winning series has been put to sleep by Then dancin' hotties A.K.A: Da CHA CHAs...did you guys know that evertime they take the series from you at home Rob comes out dancin Da CHA CHA for da Fans in his leopard leotards??? Them Fans go WILD I tell you, especially since Rob know how to sell the tickets and he teases everyone with his Fire-Engine red G-String...uff..I tell you

If you are a CHA CHA fan it certainly gives you reason to celebrate wild and if you just got beat...it kinda takes the sting off when you loose to such a cool host

Nice goin there Rob..no doubt-a-'bout-it 8)
