Yeah, I was between Fielder & Ellis for our pick. Since we already had Polanco, I went ahead & passed on Ellis. Curious - do people think Fielder would have gone in this round if we had passed on him?

I wasn't lookin at Fielder, but I've got Hafner and Lee, so I'm kinda all done w/1b. That is I was until Lee went down with a bum wrist today :roll: :shock: .

BTW, sandy I didn't see the listing for Doctor on the free agent lsit, I'm sure it was jsut an oversite, God knows with the injury guys I have this year there should be one available.

I'm hitting the hay. Big is probably already sawing wood. Night fellas.

Since you asked QK, I have to say I was somewhat surprised with that pick. I had Fielder on my list of course -- but I did NOT project him to be a first rounder (or even a second rounder). There were too many others that had viable cards for this year AND were prospects as well.

But that's just my opinion (and you asked).

Yeah, after I made the pick I was thinking I needed to put a little more emphasis on current vs. future value. Anyways, live & learn. If Prince puts up .300/.380/.540 or so I won't be complaining....

Something I'm struggling with mightily with this team. I have many high injury guys, and poor starting pitching. The starting pitching pool is thin too. So I'm seriously torn about wasting Lee and a good pen this year and just drafting for the future, 'cause I don't think I've got a shot in hell at competing this year.
