Once the autodraft runs you can add additional players to your roster from your team. I think the max roster is 28 players. You can also drop/add your free agent players as long as you don't have more than 3 of them on your roster. The 3 that you just drafted are only your property as long as they are on your roster. If you drop any they are free to be picked up by any other team.
