Hey Ace, I couldn't get a flight out until Tuesday. I currently only have a room through Sunday, But I don't think Sunday and Monday nights will be a problem. I haven't checked, though.

A poker game is a must. I would think if we get a firm time we could get a game set up in a poker room with a $100 or $200 buy in no-limit. As long as there are enough to fill up a table or two.

Poker!!

Postby Munich_Man » Sat Sep 24, 2005 2:18 am

The poker will be in my room, a suite, which it's only purpose in life. The fact that I'm sleeping there is secondary. At present, I can guarantee that Myself, Penn, Ace, frannyzoo and Rube will be playing. With the welcome addition of the clamoring voices of T.Rich and Rob, it sounds like we will certainly have enough for a nice game!!

Although I would never dream of violating US custom laws, I could be persuaded to bring cigars from a certain island south of the US (I believe it is one of the larger Keys, or at least a suburb of Florida), purely for evaluation purposes to confirm that we are doing the right thing by helping to keep this part of the world in economically dire straights. If I can get an idea of demand I will provide

In an unfortunate confluence of too much time, really neat stuff in a shop window, and unfortunate timing of a special offer, last week at Schipol Airport in Amsterdam I purchased a aluminum spy-case type attache´ case which is filled with nice poker chips (which even say Vegas" on them), a slot for dice, two decks of cards, and a big, white "Dealer" token. All well cushioned and protected. I will bring this with me, although I may be charged extra weight. The thing is small, but it is heavy!

Excellent! I would like to be a part of the evaluation process as well. 8)

Uh, Bobby, I think the question is what night WON'T we be playing. As far as previous experience indicates, the only night that possibly will not be occupied with poker isyour lovely Friday night shindig. I can't speak for the others, but I was expecting to play quite often. :D

I'm almost afraid to guess what a surprise from you might entail.

Bobby: I'll guess...Phil Hellmuth shows up and I get pocket Aces to his pocket cowboys. No help to either all the way to the River, and Phil goes ballistic, crashing through the hotel room window and falling 20 stories atop a silicon-enhanced beauty who stops his fall and breaks his heart a few minutes later.

btw...Penn/MM need to talk details with you guys, when you get a chance.

I suck at golf, but I'll be driving, so it's easy to take my clubs.

Plus my bag has a really cool beverage holder. I think it also holds golf clubs, but I've never really noticed.

Put me down as the 4th, as long as the green fee isn' t Pebble Beach level.
