Also, DT - if you are interested in moving Gomes again now that you have acquired him, look us up. We might be willing to deal Clark + someone good for Hafner/Giambi + Gomes in order to solve your DH logjam.....

I'm a little late with this, but I do approve the deal with DT -

Anyone have any interest in the following:

T. Hunter
Mora
Mueller (maybe)

I need a lefthanded bat that can play either corner OF spot, and I need a SS.

Let me know if interested.

[quote:889135d5fc]OK, looks like I overvalued Fielder & should've gone with Ellis. I am looking at FA depth at 2B (or 3B if we play Polanco at 2B) and am not liking what I see.

So, Cubit & I are in the market for 2B or 3B. We have these pieces on the trading block in the right deal:

Casey Blake
Gibbons
Lo Duca
J Cantu
Marquis
Navarro
Sanders or Alou (not both unless we are getting some RH pop back in the deal)

We would also consider trading down from our next pick. Here are some player's we'd be interested in where I am assuming price might be reasonable:

2B:
A Kennedy
O Hudson
Ellis
Iguchi

3B:
Betemit (or maybe Ramirez our Youkilis, if you're out there Hawk)
Mueller
Ensberg
Glaus
F Lopez

Let me know here if interested or send email to qksilver69***@yahoo.com, deleting the asterisks...

Thx,

Qk

You can scratch Iguchi off your list, at least for what you are offering.

I have Jose Castillo and Mark Loretta if either of them float your boat but I don't need a catcher, I've got 4 on my roster already, and neither the perenially underachieving Gibbons or the older Blake intrest me at all. So you'll have to come up with something else.

OUCH!!!

Truth be told, I see your point, and I think the same could be applied to Ellis, the 2b taken AHEAD of Iguchi.

Hmmm. Niners, afraid I will beg to differ with you on a couple of points:

1) Gibbons so far in 2006: 314/.333/600 - should be a 30/100 guy this year, peaking at age 29.

2) Blake so far in 2006: .400/.484/.600.

Of course have to see how the #s hold up, but if both stay injury-free, I think they have at least as much value as Iguchi over a couple of years (currently .304/.365/.393).

Big - we may be interested in Mueller, take a look at our roster & email me if you see a fit....

I like the way QK is thinking -- he's obviously in this for the long haul and I like that.

However, we have at LEAST two seasons to play THIS year.

I didn't say they didn't have good numbers right now,

[size=24:3e9299cf7d][b:3e9299cf7d]BUT[/b:3e9299cf7d][/size:3e9299cf7d] (get it :wink: )

Gibbons carrer avg numbers, .262, .316, .470 avg 18 HR's

and I guarantee you by years end that's about where he'll be.

most guys peek BEFORE 29

and Blake's are similar .260, .329, .444 avg 22 hr's

Good but not great numbers and both guys heading on the downslope of their careers IMHO

Iguchi is 31, BUT obviuosly 2b who can feild and hit are rare this year, so the price for them comes at a premium.

Of course I could be dead wrong, and Blake will be AL mvp with Gibbons runner up and Iguchi will break his leg and be out for the rest of the year.

But for now, given the derth of quality 2b, if you want me to give up one of the better one's you'll have to do better than the guys you listed.
