No worries mate! Definitely not offended!

I have been making music for many years now. What's new to me is all of this high tech stuff that I bought for my spare bedroom. Still figuring most of it out.

By the way, I program the "drums" in Cubase using Groove Agent.

Shameless bump. :o

This song is now up to #25 on Soundclick's Alternative charts (out of over 80,000 songs)! Play it again! Play it again!

Oh the things that keep me amused...

For those that might be interested, I made a few tweaks to the song, which I believe have made it better. Hopefully you'll agree!

I like the two inserts Chris, but man I'd love to hear more of that guitar I hear at the very end somewhere in the middle.

That would be sweet. :)

Big, I'm kind of reluctant to post this, but you invited constructive critique.

I like the song, both the melody and the instrumentation. The one thing that didn't register with me were the vocals, which seemed a tad bit flat. What I look for in vocals is feeling, even in reflective pieces. A good example is Neil Young. Even without a classic voice, he packs a lot of emotion into what he sings, even his quieter, folksy stuff. Back in my radio days, I used to hang out with the late Stevie Ray Vaughn, and one thing he told me was that the key to his vocals is that he [i:42f19b4744]felt[/i:42f19b4744] them, to the point that sometimes they were painful in his more bluesy material. Sing it from your heart, man ... don't leave emotions hidden below the surface, and I think you'll be surprised at just how dynamic this song becomes.

Don't misunderstand: I respect the hell out of anybody with the talent to produce good music, like what I heard from you. Good luck to you and I look forward to hearing the rest of the album.

MoCrash,

Thank you! Please don't feel reluctant to express your feelings! I really appreciate your taking the time to listen and post, and anyone that hung with one of my guitar idols is alright by me.

I have been a guitar player for many years, but this singing thing is new to me. Honestly, I am just discovering my voice and learning what it can and can't do. I think once I learn the "tool", then I'll be able to take it where it really needs to go.

Anyway, thanks again bro. 8)

Big
