Meanwhile, this team continues to sputter, but overall my teams are doing considerably better. 17-7 last night for my 8 teams, with this team the only one losing its series. I surely didn't know what I was doing yet when this league started, but don't call me surely. :wink: :D

Ooh, boy 'em Nakid Guns always crack me up, I still get all teary eyed when I think of that scene in the N. Gun 1 when Lt. Frank Drebin is hanging out in the ledge holding on to dear life from the statue's johnson...oooh, boy. Silly humor, I know...but just my kind.

I've been very silent on the boards because everytime I seem to say anything about my teams when they are doing good you know what happens... they start sucking pond water !! I figure I better say something now since it's the half-way point, and I'm sure you folks are just worried sick about me :wink:

This "lucky" team that I've put together is just that "luck". It's our first look at these cards, and this is the team I threw together. I've not had to do anything but make a couple batting order changes when a couple injuries come up. I'll keep my fingers crossed and hope I don't have a major collapse in the 2nd half of the season. The bad thing about this is I don't get a chance to experiment with "fixing" and fine tuning a team, and I think that's a bad thing. All of you guys are "masters" of that and it's something I'm gonna have to learn if I want to even compete on your levels. Luck will only take me so far.

I've got 4 2006 teams running, this Dull Blade team is by far the most
successful. My others started out ok, but are faltering now. 2 are theme leagues with restrictions so making changes are difficult, so I won't learn much there. The other one I just made a huge overhaul on with 81 games left to go.

I can't wait for the LOTO "real" league to start. At that time I'm only going to have the one, maybe two teams going at once.

Jeff, I have to laugh. I have the same luck as you. Whenever I start trash talking about a team it goes down the toilet.

Ask Cummings about the team I had start with a 24-9 record and a 10 game lead in my division. I pop off and it lost 11 in a row.
