Looks like my team wanted to be absolutely certain it would win Game IV.

It all comes down to tonight for dr. tax and AF Dickie. Both teams have won 2 at home ... will dr. tax's homefield advantage, earned by clinching the division late, be sufficient, or will AF Dickie win a road game and advance as the WC to the Finals?

Now I know dr. tax would have homefield advantage vs. my team if he makes the Finals ... however Miller Park isnt too different from Shea.

If AF Dickie wins, do I get Homefield advantage because I am a division winner, or does he get it because he has a better W/L Record? Hopefully I would, as I don't look forward to 4 games in Coors.

Congratulations to dr. tax on winning his semi-final. Home team won all 5 games, so looks like winning the division paid off for him!

So much for homefield advantage lol ... won 1 of 3 at home, while I took 2 on the road. I can only hope my team can win another on the road ... have 2 tries at least!

Wow - my first ever back-to-back championships (meaning 2 teams in a row in 1 game won a title)! I was starting to get worried there, after I lost game 5, but my offense really came through in Game VI to seal the deal. :)

Thanks for a great series dr. tax - hard to believe we both won more games on the road than at home! Howeveryour team had a really good road record, and I guess Miller Park was close enough to Shea that my team felt comfortable enough in it.

[b:a18c2ef059]Team Awards:[/b:a18c2ef059]

MVP - Bobby Abreu

I was all set to give this award to Larry Walker, and then he missed the entire post-season. Obviously if our team can win the playoffs without him, then he wasnt the MVP. Thus Abreu, whose OBP Machine was meshed with a nice power stroke.

Playoff MVP - Mark Loretta

This was a tough call, but Loretta did hit over .400 for the playoffs and had some very key hits in a key Game VI.

Cy Young - Ted Lilly

Another tough call, but Lilly had a slightly better W/L record than Glavine, and less hits/whip.

Playoff Cy Young - Ted Lilly

Gave a very strong performance and the Series could have ended in Game V if our offense had been awake.

Relief - BJ Ryan

A no brainer! Came close to giving him Cy Young as well, and probably would have had he pitched 150+ IP.

Playoff Relief - Giovanni Carrara

A late season addition to the pen, Carrara won a game & saved 2 more to help us to our title.

Surprise - David DeJesus

Played a key role in relieving Walker and Taguchi.

Playoff Surprise - John Mabry

After having a quiet year, Mabry really stepped up when it counted!

Disappointment - So Taguchi / Micheal Barrett

Just did not perform as hoped for.

Playoff Disappointment - Hank Blalock

Adter having a respectable season, Blalock took a nap throughout the series, except for a couple of HR.
