Cooper vs McCormick

Cooper vs McCormick

Postby guardian154 » Thu Apr 27, 2006 6:29 pm

I'm in Dodger 65...have a chance to pick up Cooper, I have Mays in CF, thought Cooper would protect Mays, or do I keep McCormick and do something else. I do have Ott, maybe trade him in for a platoon in either RF
or LF. No pitching over 6mill league.

Looks like you already picked up Coop . He hardly ever disappoints . Not sure how well Doerr is going to hit there but have to like his D .

I did pick him up before he wasn't there anymore..he's too nice a target. I figured McCormick would still be there if I decided to go the other way. Doerr's D was why I got him over Gordon.. Just not sure if Ott is a wise keep or not..maybe I'll hold onto him till mid-season and see what happens.

I really like McCormick, but hard to say no to Cooper, provided you have a platoon mate like Burns to face lefties.

Ott will still give you the walks and obp, although you don't maximize his power.

Did you ever upgrade Devore? I would trade in Doerr for a cheap defensive 2B (White, Doran, Evers, Bishop) and use the money to get a really productive LF.

Miller isn't bad. But is somebody like Cleon Jones, Keller, or Goslin available? That would really give your offense a boost.

Doerr & Ott are gonna disappoint you. Cooper holds his own just about everywhere. McCormick will generally underperform in a pitchers park.

I'd dump both Ott & Doerr and look for better options.

Thanks...not much at 2b, but I think Goslin may still be there.

I have had some very poor luck with McCormick lately.

In your park, I'd take McCormick over Cooper everytime. Make Doerr into Evers or White and make Miller a Lefty.
