Absolutely. The ratings are so close only one team would be a surprise to make the playoffs.

I have not noticed Petco teams doing exceptionally well because the ratings don't value HRs as much as the salaries do. The only "style" of that I've noticed consistently overperforming has been Coors teams. With the ratings I used up to the middle of last year I noticed that heavy pitching teams underperformed, but I think that's been fixed with these ratings.

I don't mind sharing, but I don't know if there is a simple answer to that. I could possibly tell you your rating in both parks, but then I would have to run all the other teams through the two parks to see which would favor you the most. I don't have that kind of time right now. Sorry.

No doubt. Actually, what the ratings should tell you is what the expected run differentials will be. Or, actually, more properly the number of bases differential, including steals and runners advancing on Single(cf), for example, and fielding bases, etc.

Yes it's still early, but the underdogs are making a statement, if nothing else saying, "we will not be run over this time!"
Furthermore, rumblings abound certain managers have been taking stock of some ratings released yesterday, rather than preparing their squads for last night's games. Could it be possible the Diamond Kings got a little too confident?
Ran down for a comment just before boarding a plane for a return flight home, Lambs' manager Jeep was asked about the impressive road sweep. How did his squad manage to play so well, when they even arrived late following airplane maintenance that delayed their flight for several hours before they arrived in Baltimore? Jeep simply responded, "We got real lucky last night. No time to wallow in the throws of victory here, the Silvers are on deck."
Meanwhile, attempts to get a comment from Kings manager Big failed. This paper is not one to comment on rumor and hearsay, therefore we'll only say Big probably had a good reason for leaving the Clubhouse so quickly following last night's games. We only can report there were a couple of windows broken out on the team bus, and no vandals were around. So we'll leave that conclusion up to our readers.

Well, we won a series tonight despite the fact that I forgot to check the team today and had Ellis sit out v LHP and Duffy was hurt so Hal got to make his selections. Ugh.

Bah! The only reason you won JTJ is because you were playing my squad in my park. My team is still trying to outperform, err underperform day's squad at home. Never thought I'd live to see the day when I'd want to play on the road. :roll: :shock: :?

A little surprised not much is being said about the reversal of strength in the divisions. The East, sporting the 4 worst records in the last NLD is doing a little whipping up on the West since Inter-divisional play began. The top 3 teams in the East are now 16 games over 500.
A very competitive series with Quick last night. I won the first two and dropped game 3 by just a 1 run margin. What stands out in that series to me, however, is that Quick's staff held my top scoring offense to just 8 runs the entire series. I don't like the fact he kept my bats in check, but I do like that [i:5cab320b9d]my[/i:5cab320b9d] pitching last night looked the best it had all season.
Even though I'm a Sophomore here, I can tell we've got another tightly contested NLD season on our hands.

that's cause it's not that unusual in this league. The whole league is always so tightly contested it's the norm for about 9 teams to still be fighting for the playoffs into the last week. Nothing against the East's accomplishmenst this season, but I'm sure the long time vets of this league will back me up on this.
