NLD 13 Draft thread

Postby cirills » Fri Apr 28, 2006 10:38 am

Hey guys, I see this thread above my USKL ones each morning and it makes me realize how much I miss my LD's.

I wish I hadn't let my rashness lead me to leave. If y'all ever get another opening again please put me near the top of the list.

I'd come back in a heartbeat if you'd have me.

If for some reason I was to die - or lose internet access for a long period of time - I'd like sandlotshrink to be the first owner considered for my spot.

I take the day off to finish off the yard work and catch up on life when I noticed that Prior has pitched only 8 games compared to 14 for my other top starters. (he pitched every 7th game)

Of course, I recognized the problem - I never had him in the rotation!

Otherwise, I had to kill Hasegawa -with his 1.93 WHIP. There must be something about my "mop-up" setting that lets HAL beat the hell out of my scrub. It did the samething to Thompson and he had a much better card.

Moise Alou needed to take a seat as well. Taguchi is hitting the ball well and I noticed Tyner's card needed a NLD outing party.

Besides, I needed to add Wes Helms for the third time and actually play him.

1 game before Clark and Chipper come back from their 15 game injuries and Berkman goes down for 10 and Counsell goes down for 2 more. That isnt bad enough but hal in his ultimate wisdom decides Ausmus and his 5e41 should play 2B in those 2 games while Juan Castro and his 2e16 should be the damn DH.I was just damn lucky to take 2 of 3 from the shirtheads. My luck in this league really sucks

My squad stays hot with a road sweep of Smokee's team, which was also hot coming into the series. I haven't looked at the boxes yet, so I don't know how we did with men LOB, therefore luck could have been involved.

In all seriousness, after a ton of bad luck in the last NLD, I will take all I can get this go 'round.

That could be another contributing factor of how it's tough to repeat a strong team two years in a row here. Excellent competition yes, but luck as well.

Well Jet you should be smiling today, Turnbow Blew a save in Game one that cost me a sweep of Silver and then he gave up 2 runs in game 3 that nearly cost me that game.

Happy Now :?:

Yes, took long enough for my "jinx" to take effect. :) Seriously though, the guy had to blow a save sooner or later and I think you should be quite happy with his 90% success ratio. I don't think you really have much to complain about!

Semper, Well, Hal doesn't just pick on mop up guys. Wheeler's moving along at a 6+ ERA. Hard to believe but true. We would probably move him for someone decent who's stinking for someone else.

I think this is my last season in TSN SoM.

If Bernie and crew can't figure out the pitching logic, I'm not going to waste my $25 on this crap.

Why does HAL yank Haren after he yields just 3 hits / 1 base on balls and ZERO earned runs after 4 1/3 innings (as well as pulling Wagner games earlier / Pedro / Prior), [b:9df9e232b2]but[/b:9df9e232b2] allows Duke to pitch 11 innings while allowing 4 hits / 5 walks?

Heck, HAL pulled Pedro in the same series in the 10th inning for allowing one hit.

This is BULLSH*T!
